HYDROCLICK-renovated tank passes long-term testing
Even after 18 years of continuous operation, the HYDROCLICK lining in the "Feertel" reservoir of the Böttstein water supply remains in perfect condition.
Even after 18 years of continuous operation, the HYDROCLICK lining in the "Feertel" reservoir of the Böttstein water supply remains in perfect condition.
The "Feertel" reservoir of the Böttstein water supply in the Canton of Aargau, built in 1980 with a design typical of the seventies featuring mushroom-shaped supports in the upper and lower areas, underwent comprehensive renovation in the autumn of 2007. ETERTUB AG lined the water chamber, including the floor, walls, and columns, with the innovative AGRU HYDROCLICK system.
This decision to use the HYDROCLICK system has proven to be extremely sustainable. The surface of the system, which is in direct contact with the drinking water, is characterized by its absolute smoothness. This significantly minimizes maintenance efforts. A clever detail is concealed on the back of the panels: nub profiles act as spacers between the original concrete structure and the new inner lining. This construction ensures effective drainage in the event of possible water ingress. The tightness of the system can thus be checked at any time and without great effort in the adjacent valve chamber.
In the spring of 2025, after 18 years of continuous operation, the drinking water tank could be inspected again during regular cleaning. The gratifying result: the HYDROCLICK lining showed no signs of wear or damage whatsoever.
The longevity and high quality of the system were thus impressively confirmed.
This long-term test underscores the robustness and reliability of the AGRU HYDROCLICK system as a sustainable solution for the renovation of drinking water reservoirs. The trouble-free functionality over such a long period proves the cost-effectiveness and the advantages of this technology for water suppliers.
