Lightweight composite constructions are growing in importance in almost every branch of the industry. Their mechanical properties, low mass and comparatively low manufacturing costs offer great advantages over materials like stainless steel.

PVDF as a lining for a hydrochloric acid tank using the dual-laminate process.

To ensure the chemical resistance of these constructions, they are lined with fluoropolymers like AGRU PVDF sheets. PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride) is a fluoropolymer with excellent chemical resistance against various highly-aggressive chemicals.

The company Plasticon China Co., Ltd. has taken advantage of the properties of PVDF to construct a tank for hydrochloric acid using the dual-laminate technology.
