A FRP-reinforced liner pipe consists of the inner liner pipe, the outer FRP-reinforcement and the interface in between, where the bonded connection between the materials is established. FRP-reinforced liner pipes have an equal costructive setup of the FRP-duallaminates used to build tanks, scrubbers, columns, reactors and other equipment.

The liner pipe serves for the protection against chemical attack and permeation, the outer FRP reinforcement is responsible for the mechanical strenght and bears all loads.

Benefits of AGRU liner pipe systems

Comprehensive product portfolio and extensive stock-keeping of different materials and components.

Everything from one source:

  • PVDF HV liner pipes are available in the diameter between OD 20 – 400 mm.
  • Different fittings (bends, tees, reducers) can be produced with the unique HV-Liner surface.
  • To minimise installation costs, fabric-backed ECTFE, FEP and PFA pipes are available in lengths of 1 m and 5 m (tank inlets, nozzles and pipes).

Easy and cost-efficient installation

Time and cost-saving installation thanks to thermoplastic characteristics, welding and thermoforming

  • Well known welding technologies
  • Lightweight pipelines for easy handling
  • Depending on the application, flangless (welded) connections ensure minimised maintenance costs
  • Less permeation-caused demages than lined steel-pipes

PVDF HV-Liner

PVDF HV-liner are an economical alternative to traditional fabric-backed pipe. The surface-treated PVDF pipe has a three-dimensional surface structure that provides an optimal bonding to the FRP pipe. The piping systems are available in PVDF, PVDF-FLEX and PVDF-el ESD. Pipes can be produced in diameters OD 20 – 400 mm and injection moulded HV-Liner fittings from OD 20 – 200 mm.

Field of application:

Caustig and acidic media at operating temperatures up to 120 °C and applications with antistatic material requirements.

SK+ fabric-backed ECTFE pipes

The ECTFE SK+ liner pipes are characterised by outstanding resistance to chemicals and hydrolysis, even at high temperatures. Due to the high resistance of the SK+ fabric backing system, it is the preferred system for applications with hydrochloric acid (HCl) or hydrofluoric acid (HF). The system can be used up approx. 120 °C.

GGS glass fabric backed FEP and PFA pipes

The GGS backing system used by AGRU is state of the art. Even the most aggressive applications can be handled in combination with corrosion and temperature-resistant PFA and FEP materials. Typical applications include highly acids, alkaline solutions and solvents up to a temperature of 180 °C for FEP and PFA liner pipes.
